Черное море / Flotsam and Jetsam are a collection of chemi- and photo- grams produced in the spring of 2021, during the tentative easing of lockdown restrictions. Opening the shutters and letting the light back in, these prints show fragments of the things and ruminations that have washed up on the shorelines of my mind during the pandemic (computer keyboards, moonlit landscapes, the worthiness of work, companionship, isolation, plants, homes), all ushered in by the waves of chemicals in the darkroom trays - allowing me the time to develop, stop and fix.
